Ken Troupe is Senior Director of Business Development with PCG SportsDesk and is a sports sales and marketing veteran with over 22 years of experience.
Throughout his career Ken has had a knack of developing unique marketing and revenue generating ideas. In 1994 at his first MiLB stop, Ken developed and executed a “Strike Back Against the Strike Night” which was covered by the CBS News Eye on America series. As a consultant, Ken developed and implemented the GOALden Ticket program for the Phoenix Coyotes which had a ROI of 282%, and resulted in several earned media opportunities. Ken developed his skills as a sports marketer spending a majority of his career working on the ticket sales side of the business with the Houston Astros, Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes.
In 2008, Ken launched a successful consulting business working with clients like the Atlanta Braves, Sky Blue FC, NY Giants, Turnstyles Ticketing, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Phoenix Coyotes. Ken was an early adapter of social media and developing social selling strategies allowing ticket sales reps to develop their personal brand and sell more tickets. In 2011, Ken launched the only weekly Twitter chat on ticket sales best practices at hashtag #social4tixsales.
Ken has a Bachelors in Sports Management from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University. In his spare time Ken enjoys golf, and has completed 15 marathons, 4 Ironman Triathlons, and has recently taken up fly fishing. Ken lives in Dallas with his two black labs Murphy (named for Murphy’s Bleachers in Chicago) and Annie Savoy Special. Ken’s favorite sports moment is seeing Ted Williams throw out the first pitch at the 1999 All-Star Game in Fenway Park.
